WEEK 6 (19.07.2023 - 22.07.2023)
In this week, I moved further with the portions. Since Monday was a public holiday and Tuesday was a holiday due to the demise of Former Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri Ommen Chandy, the week started with Wednesday. On the day, I gave the students notes of the chapter, We're The World, and gave a quick recap of the entire lyric. After that a quick quiz session was kept to identify the level at which each student had gathered knowledge on the chapter.
On the very next day, I started with the new unit of the text, named, Wings and Wheels, which comprises of the central theme of traveling. The first chapter is titled, "The Shipwrecked Sailor ", which is a small portion of the novella, 'The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor ', by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I gave them a detailed description of the backstory pf the novella and about the key incidents that had taken place in the life of the protagonist. Children were really curious to find out the twists and turns in the story. And on Friday I taught them the first few paragraphs of the chapter.
On Saturday, I didn’t had class, due to Tuesday's timetable. But I utilized the study time for gathering the data for my project.
